CyanogenMod for the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE

End-of-Life, 21 Mar 2017: No further updates are planned for this device.

CyanogenMod (discontinued) was an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones and tablets based on the open-source Android operating system. It offered features not found in the official Android-based firmwares from vendors.

Lollipop Advisory
For CyanogenMod 12.1, please understand that one of the new security features in Lollipop – PIE, position independent executables – cannot be enforced on this device because some vendor blobs are from the days of ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich, or Android 4.0). This weakens the security of the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE relative to other devices.

CyanogenMod – Now with more data!

The following builds of CyanogenMod require the Data/SDCard Swap be performed before installation.

Downloads

  • GApps: Open GApps – GApps should be installed at the same time as LineageOS is first installed.
  • Recovery: Unnoficial builds of TWRP are available here.

GSM Compatibility Patch

Only needed in CyanogenMod 11 and 12.1 — If you intend to use this device on a GSM carrier, it is suggested to remove some CDMA/Verizon-specific properties from build.prop. These are:

telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric=311480
ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=Verizon
gsm.sim.operator.alpha=Verizon
gsm.sim.operator.numeric=311480
gsm.operator.alpha=Verizon
gsm.operator.numeric=311480

I have created an installable package that will apply these changes for you. This is a persistent patch, so it will automatically re-apply these changes each time CyanogenMod is updated:

If you later want to uninstall this patch, simply delete /system/addon.d/91-fireball-gsm.sh and re-flash CyanogenMod.
